About Mkono
A dependable extra pair of hands.
Mission
Connect businesses with skilled assistants across Africa — a dependable extra pair of hands.
Vision
To make skilled assistants across Africa the first choice for any business that needs one.
Who we are
Mkono — Swahili for “hand” — is a product of Imara Labs. It places vetted assistants across Africa with the businesses that need them.
How we work
- Every assistant clears a multi-stage vetting process — a screening call, a practical skills exercise, and an interview — and only a small share are accepted.
- The Open Split: the assistant sets their rate and you see the whole breakdown — no FX spread.
- Assistants never pay Mkono anything.
Where we are
West Africa — Ghana, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo — and East Africa — Kenya. Nigeria and Senegal next.
